This is seriously so delicious.  I made it and gave half of it away because once I tasted it I knew I was in trouble.  SO GOOD!  It's also a great alternative to banana bread.

First Day of Second Grade

Today my son started second grade.  I'm so proud of him and how well he's done after a rocky start in Kindergarten.  I hope that he finds new friends (all of his old friends are in other classes) and loves his teacher.

I found this prayer on  facebook this morning.

Check out this cute tutorial from Jessica of Two Shades of Pink...such a clever way to use leftover cupcake liners..

I've been seeing Jamberry nails everywhere these days as well a ton of consultants.  I joined an online party through a facebook friend and received a sample in the mail.  I've used the Sally Hansen nail strips and have been very pleased with the results.  I've been curious to try the Jamberry, they have a ton of patterns and styles.  Of course I picked the chevron (duh!).  I think they turned out pretty cute.  I just polished my other current favorite color combo pink-gold and black.  What do you think?

Most shops I stumble across are a happy accident...and Pencil Shavings Studio was no exception.   When I found PSS I fell in love with all the color & stripes.  You can never go wrong with EVER.  Phone cases, iPad cases, lucite trays, pillows & prints- this shop is full of treasures.

Rachel is the creative director and founder of Pencil Shavings Studio.  Rachel has been featured in Southern Living, Country Living, Real Simple, Better Homes and many more.  I guess I'm not the only one who is in love.  Stop by Pencil Shavings Studio, you won't be disappointed!

This morning I registered my son for second grade, you know what that means? It's back to school time!  Early mornings, car pick up lines, homework, packing lunches...say it isn't so?!?!?

*Sigh* back to it ... here are a few fun and EASY back to school gifts for teachers.

Mason Jar Cup with Free Printable via The Crafted Sparrow

Hand Soap with Free Printable Simply Kierste

"Vintage" Mason Jars via Lil' Luna

Mason Jar filled with cookies via Corner House Blog

I just realized 3 out of 4 of these gifts came in mason jars...what can I say?  I love them and they do make gift giving so much cuter.

It's been a while since I posted...what can I say it's been a BUSY summer!!!

I was looking around online tonight and found a rude surprise.  I found a blog that was designed pretty much like mine including my former background and header design so there will be a few changes around here.  Currently it's a little bland.

I'll be back to posting in a couple of weeks when my son goes back to school!
